Part Tab

The Part tab provides the tools needed for creating parts, curved surface parts, and joints. The tools are divided into four groups: Part, Transformation Joint, Master Part, and Plugins.

Part Group

The tools used to create parts and curved surface parts are found here.

Part
Creates a new Part in the Browser.
Curved Surface
Creates a new Curved Surface part in the Browser.

Transformation Joint Group

The tools used to create joints are found here.

Slider
To create a Slider Joint, drag in the Figure Window from the starting to ending points of the slider. The Browser displays slider joints with the name "Slider". A slider joint can move any objects and parts contained in it along a straight line.
Rotator
To create a Rotator Joint, drag or click in the Figure Window. The drag direction specifies the axis of rotation. The Browser displays rotator joints with the name "Rotator". A rotator joint can move any objects and parts contained in it about a central axis.
Scale
To create a Scale Joint, drag in the Figure Window to specify the center and direction of magnification or reduction. The Browser displays scale joints with the name "Scaler". A scale joint can enlarge or shrink any objects and parts contained in it along a single axis.
Uni-Scale
図 To create a Uni-Scale Joint, click or drag in the Figure Window to specify the center of magnification or reduction. The Browser displays uni-scale joints with the name "Uni-Scaler". A uni-scale joint can enlarge or shrink any objects and parts contained in it uniformly (i.e., equally in the X, Y, and Z axis directions).
Ball Joint
To create a Ball Joint, click or drag in the Figure Window to specify the center of the joint. The Browser displays ball joints with the name "Ball Joint". A ball joint can move any objects and parts contained in it about any of the XYZ axes.
Bone
To create a Bone Joint, drag in the Figure Window to specify the start and end point of the bone. The Browser displays bone joints with the name "Bone". Bones have a direction, and like ball joints can be rotated about any of the XYZ axes, but are special in that angle limits can be set for each individual axis.

Light
Creates a Light Joint. No operation is required in the Figure Window. The Browser displays light joints with the name "Light". A light joint can collectively control the brightness of any lights contained in it.
Path
Creates a Path Joint. No operation is required in the Figure Window. The Browser displays path joints with the name "Path". A path joint can move any objects and parts contained in it along the path defined by a line object preceding it (as a sibling part) in the Browser hierarchy. If the immediately preceding sibling part is another path joint, this is skipped, and a line object is searched for in the next preceding sibling part.
Morph
Creates a Morph Joint. No operation is required in the Figure Window. The Browser displays morph joints with the name "Morph". A morph joint can interpolate between multiple objects and surface attributes contained inside it.
Switch
Creates a Switch Joint. No operation is required in the Figure Window. The Browser displays switch joints with the name "Switch". A switch joint can instantly switch between multiple objects contained inside it.
Path Replicator
Available in Shade3D Standard and Professional.
The object inside the path replicator part is copied one or more times along the specified path.

Surface Replicator
Available in Shade3D Standard and Professional.
The object inside the surface replicator part is copied one or more times along the surface of the specified object.

Custom
Creates a Custom Joint. No operation is required in the Figure Window. The custom joint is used in combination with scripts or plugins.

Master Part Settings

Master Object Part
Creates a Master Shape Part in the Browser.
Master Surface Part
Creates a Master Surface Part in the Browser.
Master Image Part
Creates an Image Part in the Browser.

Plugins Group

DepthPlus Controller
Available in Shade3D Professional.
DepthPlus is a plugin for setting the camera depth of field of a rendered image.

FogPlus Controller
Available in Shade3D Professional.
FogPlus is a plugin for adding fog effects to a rendered image.

PathConstraints End
Available in Shade3D Standard and Professional.
Applies PathConstraints attributes to a path joint. The PathConstraints dialog box opens.

AimConstraints Target
Available in Shade3D Standard and Professional.
An AimConstraints Target is created. The Create AimConstraints Target dialog box opens.
