Tools Menu
Functions to create or edit objects are available from this menu. The Tools menu basically corresponds to the content of the Toolbox.

- Create CAD (Shade3D Professional)
- This menu contains the CAD creation tools, as found in the Toolbox when CAD mode is selected. See also Creating NURBS Objects.
- Modify CAD (Shade3D Professional)
- This menu contains the CAD modify tools, as found in the Toolbox when CAD mode is selected. See also Editing NURBS Objects.
- Create
- Contains tools used to create objects. The menu options are the same as the Object group in the Create tab of the Toolbox.
- Part
- Contains tools used to create parts, curved surface parts, and various joints. The menu options are the same as the Part tab in the Toolbox.
- Solid
- Contains tools used to create solid objects.Use these in the Figure Window to make 3D objects out of 2D objects. The menu options are the same as the Solid group of the Create tab in the Toolbox or the Solid group displayed by clicking the Tools button in the Modify tab.
- Move
- Contains tools used to move objects.Use these in the Figure Window to move objects.The menu options are the same as that displayed by clicking the Move button of the Move/Copy group in the Create tab of the Toolbox.
- Copy
- Contains tools used to copy objects. Use this like the Move tools to copy objects. The menu options are the same as those displayed by clicking the Copy button of the Move/Copy group in the Create tab of the Toolbox.
- Repeat
- Used to repeat an operation performed last using the Move/Copy tool the number of times specified. This is the same as clicking the Repeat button in the Control Bar.
- Modify Surface
- Contains tools used to edit line objects.
- Modify Mesh
- Contains tools used to edit polygon meshes.
- Modify Tools
- Contains tools used for editing various kinds of shapes.
- UV
- Contains tools used for manipulating UV maps.
- Convert
- Contains tools used to convert objects. The menu options are the same as those available from the Tool Parameters Window.
- Custom Attributes
- If plugins with custom information are installed, the custom information is displayed. This is the equivalent of the Attributes pop-up menu in the Browser.
- Finish
- Finalizes an operation.Select this to finish entering line objects, or to exit the Modify Mode. This is equivalent to clicking the Apply button in the Tool Parameters Window.
- Continuous Mode
- Enables you to continuously use the selected tool. Continuous Mode makes it easy to create multiple objects or morph an object several times in succession, without needing to select the tool again. This is equivalent to clicking the Repeat button in the Control Bar.
- Mark Seams
- Used to memorize information about line objects or control points, which are then used to perform various operations. The menu options are the same as the Memory tools in the Tool Parameters Window.
- Plugin
- Default plugin settings can be specified here.
