Scene Tab
The Scene tab contains settings related to the Shade3D scene files.

- Grids
- A grid is displayed in the orthographic views by default. The grid width is 10 times the dot counter value.
- Perspective Grids
- Displaying grids on the Perspective View is set by default. The major grid and coordinate axes are displayed in the Perspective View.
- Work Plane
- The work planes in the 3 views and Perspective View are displayed by default.
- Large Cursor
- The 3D cursor crosshairs expand to fill the viewport by default.
- Large Point
- Vertices and control points are displayed larger by default.
- Bounds Checkbox
- The bounding box is displayed by default.
- Scale Guide
- The Scale Guide is enabled by default.
- Snap
- Select the default snap and guide settings. Choose between None, Grid Snap, and Object Guide.
- Manipulator Type
- Specifies the default manipulator type. You can select Universal, Translate, Scale, Rotate, or Hide.
- Manipulator Matrix
- This enables you to select a default manipulator coordinate system. You can select Screen, World, Local, or Normal.
- Unit Pop-up Menu
- Specifies the default units of scale used in the Figure Window. Choose between mm, cm, m, km, inch, foot, yard and mile.
- Default Workspace
- Specifies the default workspace.
- Use 24-Hour Clock
- When selected, specifies the default time format for Hour Clock (in the Distant Light Window, under the Date Time settings).
If unselected, the default time is 12 PM.
- Restore Window Size and Position
- When opening a scene, the size and position of windows saved for that scene are restored.
- When unselected, the default settings are loaded.
- Save Window Size and Position
- When saving a scene, the size and position of windows are also saved.
