Add Noise Reference

Add Noise Dialog Box

Preview
The type of preview shown can be selected from the pop-up menu below the preview.

Alpha Channel
Z-depth
Redraw Button
Redraws the preview image, applying the Add Noise dialog settings.
Auto Preview Checkbox
When selected, updates the preview automatically when any of the Add Noise dialog settings are changed.
Noise Settings
Weight Textbox and Slider
Specifies the weight to use for applying noise. If set to 0% no noise will be added.
Generate Monochrome Noise Checkbox
When selected, monochrome noise is generated. The color of the noise depends on the ratio of each color channel value. When deselected, noise is generated for each color channel according to the ratio of each noise color value.
Noise Color
Specifies the ratio of noise for the R, G, B, and Alpha channels.
Apply to
Apply to Pop-up Menu
Specifies the range in which to add noise.
Reflects Z-depth
Changes the noise weight by distance.
Weight Textbox and Slider
Specifies the weight Z-depth has on noise. A larger value makes the noise look lighter at greater distances.
Revert Checkbox
When deselected, more noise is added at closer distances, and less noise is added at farther distances. When selected, the opposite is true.

Effector Version Features

Animated Noise Checkbox
Used when rendering animations.
When selected, a different noise pattern is generated for each frame. When deselected, the same noise pattern is used for all frames.
