Usage
Switch to Modify Mode to use Select Shortest Path.
- Select two elements of the polygon mesh.
- From the main menu, select Selection > Select Shortest Path.
- From the Toolbox, select Modify > Mesh > Select Shortest Path.
Before using Select Shortest Path (with faces)
After using Select Shortest Path (with faces)
The shortest path between the center of each face is selected. If there are faces with different subdivision between the two selected faces, the nearest faces to the center are selected.
Before using Select Shortest Path (with edges)
After using Select Shortest Path (with edges)
The near ends of the edges are connected. Edges with only one face, or edges with no faces, can also be connected.
Before using Select Shortest Path (with vertices)
After using Select Shortest Path (with vertices)
The vertices are connected. Vertices with no faces can also be connected.
Using Select Shortest Path in Succession
Use Select Shortest Path while adding to the selection to continue connecting elements in a line.
- Click Select Shortest Path.
- Add another element of the polygon mesh to the selection.
- Click Select Shortest Path.
- Repeat as necessary.
If three or more elements are selected when using Select Shortest Path, only the last two selected elements are connected.
