What is Shapeasy?
Shapeasy is a new kind of 3D creative app that makes it extremely easy to create 3D models by combining simple shapes.
Objects created in Shapeasy can be sent to a 3D printer using the standard STL file format.
Starting a New Scene
- Open the Scene List from the starting screen.
- Tap the "plus" icon in the top right corner to start a new scene.
Creating Shapes
- Tap the New Shape icon in the bottom left corner and choose a shape.
- Drag to the center area to add it to your scene.
Changing the Thickness of a Shape
- Select a shape.
- Tap the Thickness icon (second from the left) to change the shape's thickness.
Shapes with greater thickness are shown in a darker orange, and vice versa.
If you set a shape's thickness to 0 it will be cut out from other, overlapping shapes.
Changing Shape Layering
- Select a shape.
- Tap the Layers icon (third from the left) to move the shape forward or backward in the layers.
Editing Shapes
- To rotate a shape, tap the Rotate icon (third from the right), and then use two fingers to rotate.
- To move a shape, drag with one finger.
- To scale a shape (make it bigger or smaller), drag one of its handles.
Dragging after a long press on a handle will scale the shape uniformly, keeping its proportion the same.
