EPix Export

The Epix file format is a type of TIFF file that includes special extensions for working with Piranesi. In addition to normal TIFF information, the EPix format also includes information about 3D object space, depth and more.

When Epix files are opened in Piranesi, Piranesi allows you to interact with the 3D object information stored in the file with an extended paint tool set.

For example, Piranesi can recognize a wall, not simply as a 2D color shape, but also the original depth information that was available in the 3D scene. Within Piranesi then, it is possible to repaint over that wall, and have that wall appear with natural coloration depending on the depth information.
