Spiral Line

Radius Input Pop-up Menu

Allows you to select the method used to specify the radius.
If you select the Numeric option, configure other options and click OK. Another Spiral Line dialog box opens.

Spiral Line

Enter the radius (start and end) and click the OK button.
If you select the Mouse drag option, configure other options and click the OK button. Within the Figure Window Viewport, specify the radius by dragging.

Segment Method Pop-up Menu

This menu allows you to choose from two options, Equal Segmentation or Bezier, as a method to divide the line shape.


(Top: Equal Segmentation, Bottom: Bezier)

Number of Full Rotations

Allows you to specify the number of rotations of the created spiral.
If this value is less than the number of segments the selected line (the number of segments equals the number of anchor points - 1), a warning dialog appears and the spiral is not generated.

Spiral Line

Points Per Rotation

Specifies the number of control points on the spiral line per rotation.

Starting Angle

Specifies the angle, in degrees, relative to the starting point of the selected Line object.

Reverse Checkbox

If selected, the spiral is drawn with the direction reversed.
