IGES Export
IGES Export is an export plugin for Shade3D. When installed, the IGES export option is added to the File > Export submenu and Shade3D objects can be exported to the IGES file format.
Files exported using IGES Export conform to IGES format version 5.3. Support for different types of Shade3D objects and the resulting IGES entities exported are described below.
About Surface Subdivision
When exporting to IGES format, the Export dialog box opens with a Surface Subdivision pop-up menu. However, all objects supported for IGES export are exported as parametric surface data, and are not subdivided into polygons. Therefore, the Surface Subdivision setting has no effect on IGES export.

IGES Export Limitations
IGES Export has the following limitations:
- Polygon mesh objects are not exported.
- Line objects with the Hole setting are exported as objects without this setting.
- Boolean rendering is not supported. All Boolean characters are ignored, and the original objects are exported unchanged.
