Line Fit Dialog Box

Select a line object to fit to the target object and then choose Line Fit. The Line Fit dialog box opens.

Space between Objects

Enter a number to represent the distance between the control points of the line objects and the surface of the target object. The units specified in the Figure Window are used. The selected objects will be fitted to the front side of the target object when a positive value is entered, and to the back side when the entered value is negative.

Direction to Fit

Shortest Distance moves each of the control points so that they fit to the closest place on the surface of the target object. Shortest Distance is used if there is no fitting surface in the selected direction even if a direction other than Shortest Distance is selected.
