Sphere - Diameter Creation Option

In addition to the conventional method of specifying the center and radius, the method of specifying two diagonal points of a sphere has been added.

Interface Toolbox: Create CAD
Main Menu Tools > Create CAD > Sphere
Tool Parameters
In Create Sphere Tool Parameters window, switch the creation method.
Center（Conventional Method）
- Pole Axis
- Specify X, Y, or Z for the pole axis of the sphere.
- Center
- The XYZ coordinates of the center of the sphere.
- Radius
- The radius of the sphere.
- Create Dimensions
- Create dimensions while creating.
- Apply
- Confirm the sphere creation.
- Show Dimensions
- Display dimensions while creating.
Diameter
- Start Point
- The coordinates of the diameter start point of the sphere.
- End Point
- The coordinates of the diameter end point of the sphere.
- Diameter
- The diameter of the sphere.
- Create Dimensions
- Create dimensions while creating.
- Apply
- Confirm the sphere creation.
- Show Dimensions
- Display dimensions after creating. Figure Window Show Measurements enabled.)
NoteDiameter is for display only and cannot be edited. To change the diameter value, edit the coordinates.
NoteThe switch between Center and Diameter is not performed during creation. The previous or default value for each is applied.
Mouse Operation
Select creation method in Tool Parameters window.
Center（Conventional Method）
- Drag in the Figure Window to create the sphere.
The starting point of the drag becomes the center point, and the distance dragged becomes the radius.
Diameter
- Drag in the Figure Window to specify the diameter and create the sphere.
