Torus

Use the Torus tool to create a torus as a NURBS surface.

Usage

  1. In CAD Mode, select Torus from the Toolbox's CAD creation tools.
  2. Drag in the Figure Window to specify the inside radius (the radius of the 'donut hole').
  3. Drag again to specify the radius of the torus (the radius of the 'donut').

Tool Parameters

Reference Plane
Select the XZ, YZ, or XY plane to use as the reference plane for creating the torus.
When using the mouse, the plane used for the initial drag becomes the reference plane.
Center
The center XYZ coordinates of the torus.
Radius 1
The radius of the inside of the torus.
Radius 2
The radius of the torus.
Create Inside Radius 1
Creates the torus inside the first radius (the first circle) drawn.
Apply
Confirms the torus creation.
Show Dimensions
When creating the object, its dimensions are displayed in the Figure Window.
